The Calvert Marine Museum is already for spring and has scheduled its first Free Friday for March 3. Docents will be in every gallery when the museum stays open 5-8 p.m.
Marine life not enough to tempt you? (I have one word for you: Otters.)
The museum will also celebrate Youth Art Month with Portraits of the Chesapeake featuring artwork by Calvert County K-12 students, on display in the lobby. Come early for the reception at 5. Bone and String, a young Calvert-based band, will perform traditional music and songs of the sea, in the Harms Gallery starting at 6 p.m.
Makes me want to jump in the car and run down to Solomons.
