Have Fitbit or other step tracking device, a good street map and a colorful place to walk? You’re ready for a 10,000 step tour.
Let’s go see something new! With all the activity monitors out there, I decided to go see something new and count my steps at the same time. A 10,000-step goal? Kick that goal’s butt by lunchtime. Get some calories burned and see some sights.
You can hustle if you want to but I take my time, window shop or even buy something and certain squeeze in time for a drink or a whole meal.
I’ve taken 10,000 step tours in far away places such as Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona; the historic Ile de la Cite in Paris, charming Charleston, South Carolina and the crowded sidewalks of Manhattan at Christmas. Closer to home, my Fitbit and I toured Historic New Castle, Delaware, Assateague, Virginia, and Baltimore’s glittering waterfront. My readers have liked quaint Havre de Grace, Maryland, best of all, so far.
Who know where I’ll go next? Maybe Costa Rica — or Annapolis….
